How I Keep Organised

This post is all about, how I keep organised. This is a list I made on word document, which list the entire things I may need. I have listed equipments, I may or may not use. Things I need to post on journal; things I still need to create and write about. This post is just a helpful way to show everyone how I keep organised.

My Production Plan

Here you can see my timetable, on Google mail. I find this very useful, as it will keep me very organised; when coming to film the title sequence. I have set deadlines for when I will finish editing, and shooting the sketches.

Lesson 16

Lesson 16: In this lesson we made a Gmail calendar which helped out a lot, with organising our work and making sure that we all knew the deadline dates for specific pieces of work; so that we never get behind. The calendar helped out with many different aspects for example, it helps by getting everyone organised, individualy or in groups, having a deadline date for pieces of work. This made sure that the work gets completed. Finally with this calendar it shows you, who is creating the events and deadlines on the calendar; so we can see who is contributing to the work and who is not. Down below is the link to my Perks of growing up calendar, on Gmail;

lesson 15

Lesson 15: In this lesson, I did some adjustments on my storyboard as I was given feedback regarding my storyboard for Perks of growing up. This lesson helped me a lot as it gave me a chance to make any necessary changes to the storyboard, in order to correct any bad feedback that was given. In the second half of the lesson, as a whole class, we were given a task which was optional; whether to do a photo animatic of our title sequence. I thought that it would be best, to do a photo animatic of my title sequence; as it would give me the general picture, if I were to go further with my stock motion. The animatic went quiet well; even though it was a plain picture of the title sequence, the general idea and purpose was to give me a few ideas on what I could do, to make it look better; once I start developing the storyboard into a title sequence. For example, I thought of drawing each scene in detail, with shadings. I thought that this would be great, as it would bring out my artistic side of loving Fine art.

Sound/Music Research

After a lot of research I have narrowed my song choices, to three. Two of these songs have been chosen because of their upbeat, acoustic style music; the third one is very different, as it has a completely different style, form the two acoustic style songs.

Eyebright:

This song is very cheerful and upbeat; it is very fast and repetitive. The main instrument used throughout the music is, an acoustic guitar. This song would be great for my title sequence, as it doesn’t sound too serious; the song itself is very fast and repetitive. These factors will help the song be in time with the visualise, on screen.

Green Acre:

This song is also very cheerful and upbeat; it is also very fast and repetitive. The main instrument used throughout the music is, an acoustic guitar; however the acoustic guitar is not just the only instrument play. There are various other instruments playing in the background, which you can clearly recognise. This son would also be great for my title sequence, as it also doesn’t sound too serious, for a movie made for children. It also is very fast and repetitive, which will also help the song be in time with the visualise, on screen.

This is my Life:

This song however is very different, from the previous two songs. As it is very slow; however this song also has a similar theme, of not being too serious. The song does not have any content of an acoustic guitar playing in the background, for a long period of time. The thing that caught my eye is that, even though this song is completely different form the other two songs; it also has that upbeat, cheerful felling to it. I think it would be interesting to work with this music, as it is completely different, it might be a risk that I am willing to take; as it might completely be out of tune with the visualise, on screen.

Typograghy, Music/Sound, Film Production Company Logo And Film Production Company Decisions

Here you can see the final decision made on the typography; I have decided to use this font, as it is the closest font to a child’s hand writing; it is also the most clearest and easiest to read. Another reason is that, I can make this font original and put my own twist on it, to make it look more interesting. For more information, for the decision on my font, for the typography, here is the link to my blog post; http://yasminahmedcoursework.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/typography-feedback.html

Here you can see my production logo, for my title sequence; Art house Production. Here is the link, to my post on my production logo, if you want to know more information about my production; http://yasminahmedcoursework.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/production-company-logo-art-house.html

Here you can see my final decision, on my film production company. This was not an easy decision, but I finally got there; when deciding on the production company, I had to do alot of research, to find out if this company would invest in my movie, and what movies it had invested in, previously. This research, had given me more knowledge on DreamWorks, and what movies are they likely to invest in. For more information on my research, here is the link to my case study on DreamWorks; http://yasminahmedcoursework.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/dreamworks-case-study.html

Green Acre

Finally, this is my final decision on the background music, for my title sequence. I have decided to use this tune of music, as it is very fast, upbeat, and gives of a happy mood, when listening to it. Another reason for this choice of music is that, when experiment with this music on final cut pro, the music was entwine with the visuals and did not feel out of place; unlike Eyebright and This is my life.
