Lesson 1

Here I am going to keep a journal about my own thoughts and ideas I have, for the title sequence. This journal will be used for updates on the title sequence and on lesson work.

Lesson 1: We were taught the basic fundamentals of pre title sequences. As I have done a gcse in media I was quite familiar with the codes and conventions, but it what quite interesting to learn the codes and conventions for pre title sequences. The codes and conventions for pre title sequence gave me the basic idea of what to include in my title sequence; so when look back at them in my own time I found that it gave me thoughts and ideas for my own title sequence, and how to go about planning and shooting the title sequence.

We learn’t that a title sequence is very important in movie making, as it sets the storyline, enigma and introduces the characters. It also plays a big part on communicating with the audience, making sure that they understand what the movie is about, by grabbing the attention and interest of the audience through the enigma.
